JEAN SHARP
Jean Isobel Sharp passed away peacefully at Mont St. Joseph Home in Prince Albert on April 13, 2016 at the age of 79. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Hardy and Myrtle Sharp, her brother Norman, her sisters Dorothy and Faye and her brother-in-law Tom Quayle. Jean is lovingly remembered by her sons Jeff (Charlene) and their children Kristen, Kimberly and Kaitlyn; Jerry (Bev) and their children Chris and Donovan and grandson Sam; Allan (Lizabeth) and their children Erin, Joseph and Liam. She is also survived by her sister Judy (Lloyd) Masur and sister-in-law Priscilla Sharp; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was born in 1936 in Shaunavon, Sask. She graduated from the Saskatchewan Teachers College in Moose Jaw in 1956 and spent time teaching in Inuvik, Edmonton and Prince Albert. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985. Jean enjoyed teaching Grade One and had a particular passion for teaching reading. She retired from teaching in 1995. In her retirement, Jean enjoyed travelling to Europe, and most of the southern US states while doing volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity. She spent many winters in Arizona and summers at Wakaw Lake. She later moved to Saskatoon where she enjoyed coffee with friends, visits with her grandchildren, riding her bike, walking on many of Saskatoon’s beautiful paths and trails. Health concerns led her back to Prince Albert where she received excellent care at Good Shepherd Villa and Mont St. Joseph Home. There will be a private family interment in at Hillcrest Cemetery in Saskatoon with a Memorial Celebration to be held at a later date.
