PETERS, LEONARD LAWRENCE
The passing of Len Peters of Fredericton, NB, husband of Elsie (Holt) Peters occurred on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 18, 1930 in Sussex, NB, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mary (Graf) Peters.
He was self employed with Commercial Interior Ltd. Leonard was a member of the Marysville United Church; United Commercial Travellers; Ground Search and Rescue, Shriners and was also an Auxiliary Member of the RCMP. Leonard enjoyed his time spent at his hunting and fishing camp on the Dungarvon.
In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, Leonard is survived by his daughter, Ann Chamberlain (Joe) of Fredericton, NB; his pride and joy, grandsons Joseph and David; sister, Marie McCormack of Toronto, ON; brother, Russell Peters (Joan) of Ottawa, ON; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Ross Peters.
A Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 6 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11am with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
