BRUCE, HELEN ELEINE (HUNTER)
The passing of Helen Eleine (Hunter) Bruce of Boiestown, NB, wife of the late Lloyd Bruce, occurred on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on April 11, 1922 in Hayesville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Susan Hunter.
Helen was a member of Boiestown United Church. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with friends and family.
Helen is survived by her son, Glenn Bruce (Phoebe) of Boiestown, NB; her grandsons, Gregg Bruce (Sandra) of Miramichi, NB and Dale Bruce (Kristina) of Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Sarah-Jeanne Bruce, George Bruce, Jakob Bruce and Miia Bruce; sisters, Doris Doak of Fredericton, NB and Elizabeth Spencer (Dell) of Woodstock, NB; brothers, Blaine (Wendy) of Fredericton, NB, Garth (Bernice) of Boiestown, NB, Berton of Durham Bridge, NB, Stanley (Joy) of Taymouth, NB and Percy Hunter of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her step- mother, Susan (Boies) Hunter and infant sister, Ada.
There will be no visitation or service at Helen’s request. A Graveside Service will be held from Bloomfield Ridge Cemetery, Bloomfield Ridge, NB at a later date.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Gowan, the staff of Palliative Care and 4-NW and caregivers Judy Spencer and Faye O'Donnell for their great care.
