Trenton - Joan Marie (Chisholm) MacKenzie, formerly of Trenton, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Harbourview Lodge, Sheet Harbour.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Streatch) Chisholm.
She was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Her kindness was always shown in her home when you were offered a hot cup of tea and a baked treat. She was a great listener and always gave helpful advice. She was a beautiful dancer and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her children, daughter: Laurie (Donnie) Graham, Scotsburn; sons: Bob (Mary Ellen), Trenton; Shawn (Michelle), Stellarton; Colin (Colleen), Kingston; grandchildren: Robert J., Jason, D.J., Noah, Josh, Hannah and Nathan; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alexander “Katt” MacKenzie; grandson, Jeffery; sisters: Cassie, Viola, Anna, Mae, Margaret, Christine and Hazel; brothers: Collie, James and Frank.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff of Harbourview Lodge in Sheet Harbour for making mom’s brief stay welcoming and comfortable.
There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held with burial in Brookside Cemetery.
