Passed peacefully away, at his home in North Harbour, Placentia Bay, Carl Anthony Mugford, aged 59 years. Carl is predeceased by his mother Madonna (Carville) Mugford. Left to mourn his loss are Carl's loving friend and longtime companion Brenda Johnson; his daughters Carla Coombs (Keith) and Lisa Mugford (Matthew); grandsons Jaxson, Austin, Max and Jack; his father Jack Mugford; his sisters Jackie Goulding (Carl) and Karen Fitzgerald (Brian); niece and nephews Rebecca, Mark and Justin Goulding, Adam, Jonathan and Andrew Fitzgerald; his extended family and lifelong friends; his neighbours and friends in North Harbour; and his faithful companion and much-loved dog Casey. Carl was a true outdoorsman. He excelled at hunting and fishing and shared those skills in his work as a guide in Labrador. He was a skilled auto mechanic, a licensed sea captain, a crab fisherman, certified mineralogist and a carpenter. Carl was most at home enjoying a kitchen party with his buddies, entertaining all with his stories and sense of humour. He will be sadly missed. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church with inurnment to follow.
