Randy Ralph, 52, passed away suddenly on April 19, 2016. He is survived by his two children, Victoria and Andrew, and his loving wife and best friend Frankie. They shared 26 wonderful years of marriage together. Born in Grand Falls Windsor, Randy was the son of David Ralph and Pearl Bowers (deceased) and brother to Penny, Rhonda, and Rodney. He attended Memorial University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, and a Master of Education. A lover of learning, Randy taught at many schools across the province, the most recent being Carbonear Collegiate and the Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Centre. He gained immense satisfaction from his career, and impacted the lives of many students. An active member of the community, Randy was a dedicated member of many sports groups. He enjoyed coaching a variety of teams including (but certainly not limited to) wrestling, hockey, basketball, and jiu jitsu. A proud member of the Qalipu Mi'kmaq First Nations, Randy was very engaged with the St. John's Native Friendship Centre and its other members. He was a lover of nature and enjoyed hiking and jogging with his family and dogs. Randy will be forever remembered for his good humour and kind nature. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family will be receiving visitors at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue on Friday, April 22nd from 10am-9pm. Memorial service for Randy will be held at Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle, Kenmount Road, on Saturday, April 23rd at 10 am.
