Eugene "Jean" Colenutt

Passed on: April 13th, 2016

Colenutt, Eugene “Jean”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on April 13, 2016 of Jean Colenutt of Swift Current, formerly of the Moose Jaw area. Jean is survived by her husband of 52 years, Marvin; son Jeff (Theresa) Colenutt and their sons Dalton and Levi; daughter Annette (Kent) Yuzik and their daughters Danielle and Angela; three brothers and seven sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Elsie Shopa and her brother John. Although Jean had many jobs including working at the A&W in Moose Jaw, service in the air force for three years and employed as a telephone operator, she would be most remembered from her work at Fanny’s Fabric/Fabricland, National Spar and for her volunteer work as a Girl Guide Leader and Commissioner for many years. Jean was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She prided herself on her flowerbeds – from early spring until late fall you could always find her outside puttering away. Her greatest love was for her family – she was so proud of her grandchildren and all of their achievements. The internment of her ashes will take place at a later date.
