Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, age 96 years. Predeceased by her devoted husband, Malcolm (2004) and her cherished son, Mac (2011). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ruth (Bruce Pike), Wilfred (Rosalie), David (Bernice), Carol Ann (Terry Evans), Nancy (Ern Benson);daughter in law: Andrea; grandchildren: Ian (Stacey), Robyn (Con O'Brien), Colin Squires; Susan (Bill Pippy) and Jillian Pike; Sarah Jane (Matt Kane); David Evans; Adam Benson (Tanya) and Jody (Kris King); great grandchildren: Martin and Andrew O'Brien; Marc Squires; Ella and Sophia Squires; and her sister: Daisy Hill (Weyburn, SK); special friends: Joy Wiseman, Sandra Sooley, Genny Sooley and Renee Piccott; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Heather Woodland; the Palliative Care Team (LAMC); Sharon Nurse, RN, Community Health and Wavey Lyver (long time caregiver). Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016. Funeral service will be held at from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
