It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet Angel and beloved Mother. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on April 21, 2016, age 89, as we had just celebrated her birthday, in the presence of her daughter and Caregiver Millicent by her side. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts her seven children: Bruce (Delores), Sonia (Tom), Sandra, Millicent, Douglas (Sharon), Maxwell (Rhonda), Cheryl (Terry); her 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends, love you all. She loved life and a game of cards, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A huge special thanks to the nurses of 7 East at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for all your special care and love throughout her stay. She was so blessed to have such caring nurses we will never forget you. Also to the team of doctors who had the chance to meet and treat her with the dignity and respect she was so deserving of. Taken from us way too soon, we will always love you, mom. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, April 23 from 10am-9pm and on Sunday, April 24 from 10am-5pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00am, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
