Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in the presence of her loving family on Friday, April 22, 2016, Eva Murphy, in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband John "Jack" Murphy (November, 2003); son, Doug (January, 2013); parents, Thomas and Emily Tilley; sisters: Grace and June; and brothers: Lou, Jack, Fred, Ralph, and Art. Leaving to mourn, her 2 loving sons: Dave (Anne) and Ron (Valerie); her daughters-in-law: Cathy and Karen; grandchildren: Kara (Stephen) and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Joshua and Juliana; special nieces: Jackie, Janet & Eva; special friends Mary and Pearl, and close friends from St. Luke's Cottages; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation will take place from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Sunday, April 24 and Monday, April 25, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at 11:00am with interment to take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Eva's memory to The Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre or the Janeway Children's Hospital.
