Passed peacefully away in the presence of his daughter Kara-Lynn Ackerman, on Friday, April 22, 2016, Wayne Ackerman, age 71 years. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Sarah Jane (nee Dawe) Ackerman. Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory, his wife Frances Ackerman (nee Whelan); his children: Kenneth, Keith, Chris and Kara-Lynn; six grandchildren; sister Elaine Fowler (Vic); as well as extended family and large circle of friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Elim Pentecostal Tabernacle on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11 am. Interment will take place at 3 pm at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Clarke's Beach.
