Passed away suddenly but peacefully, in the presence of her loving family, on Tuesday April 26, 2016 at the Health Sciences Centre, Myrtle Rose Mercer aged 86 years. Predeceased by her parents Edward Tucker, Reecie and George Sharpe and her loving husband Hubert Clayton Mercer (April 26, 2011). Leaving to mourn her children Ruth Hiscock (Harvey), Derek (Carol), Karen Puglisevich (Val) all of St. Philip's, grandchildren Rev. Julie Brace (Ross), Churchill Falls, Courtney Melindy (Darren) Paradise, Matthew Mercer (Brittany Barnable), St. Philip's, Hayley Puglisevich (Jordan Moss) St. Philip's, great-grandchildren Cody Brace, CBS, Charles Stagg, Wesleyville, Step-sister Rita Squires, sisters in-law Rowena Sharpe, Virtue Sharpe, Margaret-Rose Mercer, Mildred Mercer, brother-in-law and sister- in-law Ray and Millicent Mercer. Special friends Rose Mercer, Ethel Penney, Linda Mahon and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Philip's Anglican Church on Friday, April 29 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow in the St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery.
