Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Monday, April 25, 2016, John Merner of Hr. Main in his 95th year. Predeceased by his wife Catherine, son Francis and daughter Ann Marie Wade, infant daughter Geraldine, cherished friends: Pauline Redmond, Theresa Hannon, and Joe Cleary. Left with fond and loving memories are his son John, daughter Joan Doyle (Jack), grandchildren: Stacey, Kevin, Kristin, Tonya, Melinda and Carolyn, cherished great-grandchildren: Timothy, Aidan, Kate, Thomas, Katie, Caroline, Jack Patrick, Michael, Megan, Riley, Mackenzie, Gavin, Kaitlyn and Madison, his sister Josephine Holt, and a large circle of extended family and friends, especially Evelyn Cleary, Robert Redmond, Agnes Furey, Rosie and Jeff Arnold, Ed Tucker and their families. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 7-9 pm, and on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:30 am from Assumption Church, Avondale. Interment will be in the family plot at Assumption Cemetery, Avondale.
