STEEVES, HELEN G.
1926-2016
Miramichi – Helen Gray Steeves, widow of the late Allen A. Steeves, of King George Hwy, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the age of 89. Born in Ferry Road, on December 19, 1926, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Gray) Gilliss.
She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel United Church; a member of Bethel U.C.W.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Steeves, at home and Ronald Steeves, of Miramichi; one grandson, Mark Steeves; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Steeves, of Toronto, Ont.; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Gilliss; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Allen, in 2007; one son, Wayne Steeves; two sisters, Kay MacFarlane and Elsie Lloyd; one brother, Fred Gilliss; one infant daughter, Margaret.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. Blacquire. Interment will be in Miramichi Cemetery.
