With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Lawrence (Rufus) Hartigan on April 23, 2016 in Innisfail, Alta.
Born Nov. 15, 1947 in Sydney, he was the eldest child of the late Lar and Peggy Hartigan. Lawrence was a carpenter and cabinetmaker by trade.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Brooks); daughter, Tanya (Ken) and grandchildren, Carver and Leah of Brudenheim, Alta. and son, Lawrence (Jenny) and grandchildren, Emma and Oliver of Innisfail, Alta.
Also surviving are two brothers, Carl, Antigonish and Dennis, Whitney Pier and three sisters, Linda, Colleen and Sally, all of Cape Breton Island.
Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by brothers, Allan (35), John (31) and Tony in infancy.
Cremation has taken place.
