BABIN, HAZEL (WOOD)
(1933-2016)
REXTON, NB – Hazel Babin 83, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, May 2, 2016. Born in Kouchibouguac, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Wood and late Lucy (Ellis) Wood.
Hazel was employed for many years at the Richibucto 5 Cent to 1 Dollar Store. She attended St. Andrew’s United Church in Rexton.
Hazel will be sadly missed by her daughter, Dawn Mundle (Marven) of Moncton; one son, Mark Babin (Nancy) of Rexton and four granddaughters, Melanie, Lindsey, Melissa and Tiffany. She is also survived by one sister, Judy Wood (Daryl) of Moncton and one brother, Douglas Wood (late Florence) of Moncton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Babin; four sisters, Thelma, Olive, Muriel, Doris and one brother, Wesley.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at St. Andrew’s United Church in Rexton. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Hazel’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s United Church or Cemetery Fund.
