MacLellan’s Brook - Andrew Francis MacDonald, age 87, of MacLellan’s Brook, formerly of Orion Ave., North End, New Glasgow, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born January 12, 1929, he was the chosen son of the late James and Mary MacDonald. He retired as a supervisor with the Town of New Glasgow after 43 1/2 years. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and attended Saint John’s Academy in his early years. He is survived by daughters: Marjorie MacDonald (Sid), Little Harbour; Andrea Webb, Stellarton; Kimberley MacDonald Redmond (Whitney), New Glasgow; grandchildren: Darryl, Christopher, Mandy, Blair, Michael, Floyd, Melissa, Jeremy and Alana; 6 great grandchildren with one more due in September; brothers: John, Clifford, Melvin and Ernie. He will also be sadly missed by his friend Bob; friends at McDonalds, Tim Hortons and the East Side Restaurant; and Mojo. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith Bell McKinley, sons: Samuel and Alan. Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. A family graveside service will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
