Purvis, Robert S., 77 of New Glasgow passed away May 4, 2016 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Priestville, Pictou County he was a son of the late Clifford and Gertrude(Baglole)Purvis.
He leaves behind his wife Barbara, his daughters Tanya and Sherry(Phil)Blackwood, a son Rob(Margie), 3 granddaughters: Jennifer, Robyn(Brad), Nicole(Justin), 3 great-granddaughters: Zoe, Meera Chisholm and Hannah Roussy, a brother Clyde(Sharon), sisters: Hazel(Earle) Burgess and Ivy MacRae
He was predeceased by a sister Anne.
Cremation has taken place.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
