J. Pauline Mountain

MOUNTAIN, J. PAULINE
The passing of J. Pauline Mountain, wife of the late Daniel Mountain, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on May 5, 2016 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on January 28, 1922 in Fredericton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Helen (Kitchen) Johnston.
Pauline was a member of Nashwaaksis United Church. She was a Veteran of World War II serving in the HMCS Royal Canadian Navy. She worked in the Post Office in Esquimalt, BC. Pauline enjoyed reading and crocheting afghans; loved animals and spending her summers at Grand Lake. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Pauline is survived by her daughters, Jane White of Upper Kingsclear, NB, Joyce Greene of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Judy Murray (Dale) of Victoria, BC; her grandchildren, Patti (Jim) Morrison, Barb (Mike) Denyer-Litalien, Kirk (Mandy) White, Tracey (Scott) Grasse, Brent (Tessa Walsh) White and Sheri (Steve) Richard; great grandchildren, Connor, Ailsa and Brett Morrison, Sophie, Anissa and Alex Litalien, Camden and Elliot White, MacKenzie and Haley Grasse, Tommie Richard and Matthew and Bradley White; sisters, Judy Bird of Fredericton, NB and Margery Carroll of Mississauga, ON; her brother, Dow Johnston of Fredericton, NB; special niece, Bianca (David) Caissie and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, John Andrew; grandchildren, Heather Denyer and Brad White; sisters, Evelyn and Lois; brother, Jack; son in laws, Ken Denyer, Winston White and Vince Greene.
There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will be held at Nashwaaksis United Church, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. J.D. Kennedy officiating. Reception to follow. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fredericton SPCA or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
