It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, Wallace (Wally) Zbaraschuk on May 6, 2016.
Wally was born December 26, 1942 to Frank and Mary Zbaraschuk and was the eldest of six children. He was raised on the family farm until moving into Prince Albert as a young man where he started working at North Park Center. This is where he met his lifelong love Sharon.
Wally was a strong family man; anyone who knew him understood he always put family first. He took great pleasure in time spent together as family, and watching his kids and grandkids grow into the people they are today. He had a lifelong passion for gardening, known as being the neighborhood plant expert and working to have the best garden in the neighborhood. He also loved to travel and experience different cultures and made the most of this time with mom and his family, having the opportunity to see most of Canada and many countries in the world.
Left to mourn his passing is; his beloved wife, Sharon (nee: Dennison) of 50 years, his children, Brent (Jody) Zbaraschuk and their daughters Lexi and Sophia, Derek (Kelly) Zbaraschuk and their children Adam and Sara, Shannon (Jeff) Horan and their children Kirsten and Corbin, his mother Mary Zbaraschuk, brothers Gerald (Madeline), Barry (Val), Frank (Pat) and sister Janet, sister in-laws Lynn and Valerie, numerous relatives and friends. Wally was predeceased by his father, Frank Zbaraschuk, grand-daughter Courtney Zbaraschuk, Mother in law Amanda Dennison and an infant brother.
A celebration of Wally’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at Gray’s Chapel, 575- 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Rev. Nora Vedress officiating. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Laryngectomy support group at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon Saskatchewan.
