The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Tuesday May 10, 2016 of Arthur R. Cousins of Kensington formerly of Baltic Lot 18, aged 84 years.
Born in Summerside on July 20, 1931. Son of the late Robert S. and Louise (Ramsay) Cousins.
Loving husband of 64 years to Shirley Jean (MacGregor) Cousins. Father of Donald (Jill), Karen, Brian (Celine) Cousins and Kathy (Steven) Harding.
Grandfather to Anji (Aden) McIver, Katelyn (Eddie) Arsenault, Jenessa (Brett) Gallant, Darcy Cousins, Mallory and Ashley Harding.
Great-grandfather to Karson McIver, Jack and Ellie Gallant, Edison and Emery Arsenault.
Brother of Sutherland (Alethia) Cousins, William Cousins (Dorothy Beairsto), Mary Hickey, Fulton (Mary) Cousins and Florence “Fluff” (Burrows) MacPhail.
Brother in law of Judy Cousins, Wayne MacGregor and Frances MacGregor.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Shirley’s parents Joseph and Verna Jean (Bernard) MacGregor and Bill Donald, brothers John, Robert Keir and Norman Cousins; sister Edith Woodside; sisters-in-law Marilyn Cousins, Elaine Cousins and Betty MacGregor and brothers-in law Delmar Woodside, Elmer Hickey, Charles (Patricia) MacGregor and Donald MacGregor.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m.
Funeral Friday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m.
Interment Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
