TOWER, DONALD ROY
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Donald Roy Tower, which occurred at the Rocmaura Nursing Home on May 10th, 2016. Donald was born in Moncton on June 11th, 1934; a son of the late Laura Tower, and the loving husband of the late Patricia Tower.
Donald was a heavy equipment operator with Brookville Lime, retiring after 41 years. He enjoyed playing bingo and taking part in any musical activities at Rocmaura. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica, an instrument he played his whole life.
Surviving are his sons Roy (Karen), Steven, and Scott all of Saint John, daughter Brenda (Michael) Owen of Hampton, brothers Ralph (Marie) Trites and Cecil (Shirley) Trites; both of Moncton, sisters Marjorie (Gary) Layton of Moncton and Joan (Wallace) Ley of Ontario, 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 am, from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
