Dorothy Dyck
The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 13, 2016, of Dorothy Dyck, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in Indian River, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Simmons) Rogers. Survived by her stepson Burke (Maribeth) Dyck; grandchildren Jamie Landry and Heather Butler; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Carolyn Landry; sisters Vera (John) Dekker, Eileen Hubley, Rita (Allie) DesRoches; brothers Allison (Lillian) Rogers, Alfred (Harriet) Rogers, James (Marion) Rogers, Ralph Rogers (Elma Noye) and Wayne (Carolyn) Rogers. Predeceased by her first husband Tilman Landry; second husband Fritz Dyck; sons Douglas Landry and Ralph James Landry in infancy; a sister Marion (Elwood) Crozier; and brothers-in-law Brian Hubley and Ralph Howard. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Monday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. No visitation by personal request. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
