John Burden passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, May 14, 2016, at the age of 84. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late John and Lily Burden.
John is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Phyllis, beloved daughter, Christine and her husband Martin Arseneault; grandchildren, Markus Arseneault and Phillip Arseneault as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers, Maxwell and Lawrence Burden.
John was a member of The Saint John Ambulance, President of Court Tidal Wave Canadian Order of Foresters, and President of the Carman’s Union CNR.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home with Pastor Shawn Annis to officiate.
