The death occurred at Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, May 13, 2016, of Annie Caroline Getson of Coleman, aged 90 years, wife of the late Chester Getson. Born in Coleman on May 16, 1925, daughter of the late Herman and Minnie (Griffin) Wallace. Loving mother-in-law to Gale Getson, Summerside, and Beverly Getson, Summerside. Dear grandmother to Terry (Carl) Lewis, Kevin Getson, Tammy Jo (Shawn) Moores, Jeffery Getson, Christine Getson, Dwayne Getson and 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Annie is also survived by her sister Mary Dunbar, Alma, and brother Ewen (Mary Alice) Wallace, St. Margaret's Bay, N.S. Predeceased by her parents, sons Billy and Jimmie, brothers and sisters Erma (Lawson) MacNevin, Florence (Eddie) MacNevin, Gertrude (Stanford) MacNeil, Margaret (Russell) Lockhart, Albert (Etta Mae) Wallace, Cowan (Irma) Wallace, John and George in infancy, and brother-in-law Jack Dunbar. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary, with visiting hours on Sunday, May 15, from 1 p.m. until the time of his funeral at 3 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenmount Church of Christ Cemetery. In memory of Annie, memorials to the cemetery or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
