It is with a deepened sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marie Mudge, 72, of Norris Point. Marie passed away suddenly on the morning of May 14th at her home. Marie leaves her husband of 46 years Reginald of Norris Point, her son Shawn (Stephanie), her daughter Shantel (Nick), her mother-in-law Elizabeth Mudge, niece Valda, brother-in-law Derrick (Irene), sister-in-law Margaret (Jerry), her sisters Loretta, Shirley, Della, Liz, brothers Bill (Marg), Val (Joyce), Jim (Philomena), Hayward (Darlene), sister-in-law Gert, step-brother Dale, step-sisters Linda and Patricia. She is preceded by father-in-law Alex Mudge, father-in-law Alex Decker, mother-in-law Edna, uncles Tom, Steve, Harvey, aunts Nellie and Winnie, sisters Nellie, Loretta, Nell, brothers Mick (Stash), Bob, Gerald (Mary), brothers-in-law Wilf, Tone, Walt, father and mother John and Nelly Carroll, and biological mother Alice. Marie loved family and friends. She was an avid outdoorswoman. She could be seen in Howley fishing with Irene, moose hunting, ice fishing and travelling the province in their truck camper. She loved music and dancing. She was a passionate gardener, always with a full bloom in her gardens. She spent many hours crafting beautiful creations for friends and family. A service will be held Wednesday, May 18th at 2 pm at Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point with Rev. Kay Short officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 17th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and again on Wednesday, May 18th from 9-11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Parson's Funeral Home and Chapel, Deer Lake, NL.
