Paul ‘Paully’ Vincent Doiron

The death occurred peacefully at Andrews Lodge, Summerside, on Sunday, May 15, 2016, of Paul “Paully” Vincent Doiron of Summerside, in his 100th year. Paully was born in Duvar, P.E.I., and was the last living child of the late Felix and Sophie Doiron. Paully went to school in Duvar and following his schooling, worked as a carpenter. After moving to Summerside, he was employed by CN Marine in Bordon. Paully always spoke of growing up in Duvar with a sense of pride and tradition. Family was important to him and he always cherished the annual Doiron family reunions where he would often be seen accompanying his nephews by playing the spoons. Besides his parents, Paully was predeceased by his wives Evelyn and Ella as well as brothers and sisters: Peter (Angeline), Ursula (Andy), Tony, Margaret (Jerry), Helen (Oscar), Robert and Bernice (Howard). Left to benefit from his example of love and kindness and to cherish his memory are his main caregivers Jimmie and Nancy Arsenault as well as sisters-in-law Beatrice (Tony - deceased) and Jean (Robert – deceased) Doiron. All his many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as friends also cherish his memory. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Thursday, May 19, then to St. Paul’s Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in church cemetery. Donations in Paully’s memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or St. Anthony’s Church Fund would be greatly appreciated.
