POIRIER, YVONNE
1923-2016
Yvonne Poirier, 93, of Foyer St-Antoine, wife of the late François Poirier, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the residence following a lengthy illness. Born March 6, 1923 in St-Paul-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Dominique and Julie (Cormier) Belliveau.
Yvonne is survived by her six children: Marie-Thérèse Cormier (Terry), Rosella Poirier, Marie-Reine LeBlanc, Jean-Guy (Odette), Donald (Denise), and Dominique (Marie-Claire); 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild; many nieces, and nephews. She was the last survivor of her immediate family of 13.
Besides her husband, she is also predeceased by a daughter, Annette, and a grandson, Denis.
The family will receive condolences at the St-Paul-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church, 6476 Route 515, St-Paul-de-Kent from where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 20 at 11 am. Visiting hours Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm, and Friday morning from 9 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Adamsville.
