The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor in Summerside, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Robert was formerly of Abram’s Village and in his 94th year. He was born August 1, 1923, in Egmont Bay, son of the late Emilien Arsenault and Gabrielle Arsenault (Berube). Beloved husband to his late wife Géralda (nee Gallant) Arsenault. He will be forever remembered by his brothers and sisters: Sister Fernande Arsenault, Andrews Lodge Charlottetown; Yvon Arsenault, Abram’s Village; Simon (Irène) Arsenault, Abram’s Village; Gemma Arsenault, Sommerset Manor; Yvette (Burnelle) MacDonald, Ottawa. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews and an aunt Yvette St-Pierre (Berube). Robert was a veteran of the Second World War. Robert was predeceased by his father Émilien Arsenault, mother Gabrielle (Bérubé) Arsenault, Gemma Arsenault, Bertrand Arsenault, Francine Savoie, Lorraine Arsenault and brother-in-law Billy Arsenault. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Friday, May 20, then to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church, Egmont Bay, where funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s memory to St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church Cemetery, Egmont Bay, or to the Evangeline Coop Funeral Home would be greatly appreciated.
