JONES, FAY WINNIFRED
The passing of Fay Winnifred Jones of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Earl Jones occurred on Wednesday, May 18th, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 9th, 1934 in Narrows, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Cromwell) Kierstead.
She enjoyed knitting, reading, going for drives with her brother and attending country jamborees. Fay loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Fay is survived by her daughters, Elaine Jones, Bonnie Daigle and Deborah Connolly (Andrew) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jacqueline Forbes (Kerrod), Rebecca Connolly, Jonathan Connolly and Stephen Connolly; brother, Carl Kierstead (Jill) of Fredericton, NB; special niece and nephew, Lisa Greenwood and Bradley Kierstead; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Walter Kierstead.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, May 20th, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
