Jacob Victor (Jack) Stroh, formerly of Langham Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully after a long illness with vascular dementia on April 27, 2016, at Sherbrooke Community Centre. Jack was born on July 20, 1942 in Prince Albert to Emmanual (Manny) Stroh and Frances Ebertz of Paddockwood. He was the oldest of seven siblings. He grew up with hard work on a small mixed farm. He attended the one-roomed Beaton School and completed high school at Christopher Lake. Jack was predeceased by his parents, infant sister Marianne, brother-in-law Wayne Wick and sister-in-law Shirley Stroh. Jack is survived by his three children Shad (Roxane); Amber, children Dejia (Derek) and Lincoln grandchildren Easton and Ryder: Travis (Melissa) children Mackenzie and Avery; and the children’s mother Bernadette. He is also survived by three brothers and three sisters and their children: Norman (Helen), Derek, Donna; Jennie Barlow (Bill), Bonnie, (Duane) Kelly, Jason; Leona Wick, Kevin, Tanya, Darren; Peter (Linda), Joanne, Brandon; Fran Pearson (Ken), Melanie, Ryan, Tanis, Dylan; Ed (Lynda), Karlie, Dustin. Jack was employed in a variety of occupations in Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Vancouver and Saskatoon. He retired in 2008 from the job he like best at Shippers Supply. He was known as a hard working loyal workmate by his colleagues. Jack was an active community and church volunteer frequently helping with his children’s sports. He was happy to help others and was proud of the recognition he received as a frequent and lifelong blood donor. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Sherbrooke Community Centre for their care and kindness during Jack’s long illness. The funeral was held on May 5, 2016 with internment at Allan, SK. Funeral arrangements were by Sasktoon Funeral Home.
