Gross: Donald , age 73, of Swift Current and formerly of Rush Lake and Hodgeville District, passed away May 14, 2016 at the Heritage Towers. A Private Family Memorial Service was held at 3:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Herbert Community Cemetery. Donnie is survived by his brother Ian Gross and extended family Jonathan (Kyla) Thomason and their children Emma and Nash Thomason. He was predeceased by his parents Larry and Hilda Gross and brother Fred Gross. Donnie was born on February 4, 1943 in Moose Jaw, Sk. He attended school in Hodgeville and worked as a farmer. Donnie had a love for writing and reporting. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with friends. Donnie kept up with the history of the community of Hodgeville, saving and putting albums together. He was able to "see" the world through his friend's eyes and collected spoons and bells.
