Josephine Glidden

GLIDDEN, JOSEPHINE
1927-2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Mother Josephine (McNaughton) Glidden on Friday May 20, 2016 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton.
Josephine was born in Millstream, Que in 1927, she was the daughter of Duncan and Obéline (Gallant) McNaughton. She was the second youngest of nine children and the last surviving sibling.
Josephine was a long-time member of the St Bernard's community. She was a member of the CWL and the New Brunswick Liberal Party Association for more than 50 years.‎ Josephine worked for Eaton's as a dept. head for many years and the Queen Hotel in Moncton.
Besides her brothers and sisters, she was predeceased by her husband Lindsay (of Tide-Head, NB).
She leaves behind her 10 children: Odette Bergeron of Trois-Rivières,  Gregory  (Malcolm) Glidden of Montréal, Lilly (Stephen) Lack of New York, Terry (Mike) Doiron of Dartmouth, Tim (Laurie) Glidden of Midland, Paul (Melvina) Glidden of Moncton, Stephen (Athenia) Glidden of Dieppe, Patty Glidden (Stephen Fyfe) of Halifax, Joy Glidden of New York and Mark (Shauna) Glidden of Wolfville; 14 grandchildren: Simon B, Jasper, Asher, Danielle, Melissa, Alex, Jonas, Lila, Shawn, Vanessa, Simon G, Lillian, Amanda and Avery; eight great grandchildren: Alexa, Aidan, Macarius, Merrick, Reed, Josie, Sawyer and Lennen; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette’s Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church St, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church (43 Botsford St) on Wednesday May 25th at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Villa Repos in Moncton or St Bernard's Roman Catholic Church.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Josephine's long time care giver Linda Richard for which her children are ever grateful.  They would also like to thank the wonderful staff of Villa Repos for the love and care they gave to our Mother.
