With broken hearts, we announce Bob's peaceful passing at his home in St. John's on May 22nd, 2016. Predeceased by his parents William and Clare Mcloughlan (2001) and mother-in-law Myrtle Dale (2010). Left with many precious memories, his loving and devoted wife and best friend, Jackie Dale. Also leaving to mourn, brothers Paul and Steve, sisters Jean (Mike Fennell) and Diane (Ross Johnson). Ever loved by his family of in-laws, sisters-in-law Valerie Earles (Joe), Carol Ann Dale (Wilf Waye), and Marilyn Woodfine (late Jack), brothers-in-law Ralph Dale (late Alison), Harold Dale (Ellen), Tom Dale (Dale), and David Dale (Lorena). He will be deeply missed by many, including his aunts Helen Buckingham (Ed) and Barb Hurley (late Pat), cousins, nieces and nephews, many good friends, best buddy Bill O'Keefe, as well as numerous coworkers throughout the pharmaceutical community. Bob was an avid traveler throughout his life, travelling to many corners of the globe, finding his favorite get away at his cabin in Northern Bay Sands. He was also an avid golfer, achieving two holes in one. His wit, laughter and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him. While we are mourning the loss of our friend, we are rejoicing to have had known him. Special thanks to Dr. Eaton for his care and compassion. At Bob's request, cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Rd, on Wednesday, May 25th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at Caul's Chapel at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the SPCA.
