Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, with his loving partner by his side, on Friday, June 3, 2016, of Leonard Joseph McDonald of Emyvale, aged 83. Survived by his beloved partner of 15 years, Susan Townshend, and his children, Ken McDonald (Sandra), Warren Grove; Lois Peterson (Edwin), Charlottetown; Floyd McDonald, Emyvale; Barb McKenna, Liverpool, Nova Scotia; Paul McDonald, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and his loving daughter-in-law Kim Muise-McDonald, Emyvale. He leaves behind his two sisters, Doris Harnett, Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Theresa Balcom; Whitby, Ontario. He is also survived by his eight loving grandchildren, Laura and Andrew McDonald; Matthew McKenna; Rebecca and Justin d’Eon; Ashley, Jenna and Hailey McDonald. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Leonard was predeceased in 1995 by his beloved wife of 37 years, Clara (Arsenault) McDonald. He was also predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters, and his parents, Mary (Clarkin) McDonald and Dominick McDonald. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Monday at 9:15 a.m. then to St. Anne’s Church, Lot 65 for funeral mass at 10:00 a.m Interment in to St. Anne’s Parish Cemetery.
