It is with heavy hearts that the family of Constance “Connie” Buckley announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal, QC on March 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert “Jack” and Daisy (Bedwell) Palmer.

Connie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a social person, playing Bingo at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 69 regularly as well as bowling with the Ding-a-ling bowling league until recently. She made many lasting friendships through her many years trailering on Long Reach in the warmer months. She was also an active member of Church of the Good Shepherd.

She will be missed by her daughters, Cathy McKinnon, Brenda McKinnon and Linda Vair; grandchildren, Jennifer Parker (Emily Shute), Scott Vair (Jayne) and Nicole Vair (Geoff Walsh); three great grandchildren, Grace, Leah and George; a sister, Dorothy Adams; as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph McKinnon; her second husband, Roy Buckley; and her siblings, John, George and Jean.

Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John, NB (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11:00 am from the Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Road. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Church of the Good Shepherd or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
