ZANIDEAN: Husni, 93 years of Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2016. In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Husni was born August 20, 1922 in Lebanon. He married Ishie Baki on May 21, 1944 and they had 4 children before he left Lebanon to come to Canada to search out their new life for their growing family. Once Husni was reunited with Ishie in their new life on a farm west of Swift Current they had 5 more children. Husni worked on the Cp Rail until he retired in 1982. He was a hard worker and loved to play cards. He took great pride in an immaculate yard and always had a garden that produced an abundance of vegetables that he graciously shared with everybody. He was predeceased by his wife Ishie in 2009, his daughter Mahassen 1998, his son Rayath in 2008. Husni will be sadly missed by his son Ali (Zakia) Zanidean, daughter Carol (Mahmoud) Hayek, daughter Rose (Omran) Zanidean, son Tom (Wendy) Zanidean, son Eddy Zanidean, son Abdou (Sheila) Zanidean, Hamid (Darla) Zanidean. Husni will always be remembered by 20 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. The funeral service was held at the Islamic Center on Friday June 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Sheikh Youssef Chibli of Edmonton AB, the eulogy was read by Fadi Zanidean. Husni was laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Burial Park next to his beloved wife and daughter. Thank you to all the friends and neighbours for your prayers and kind sentiments.
