For many years she lived with the 'golden girls' Bessie, Ollie and Gladys on the corner of Pitt and Broad, taking opportunity to travel when she could. Jean loved her car, she took many spontaneous driving expeditions through country roads visiting friends on the way, arriving by the coast to capture the beautiful sunsets.

She ended her days in the loving care of the Turnbull Nursing Home and was much loved by them. She passed away after a short hospital admission; well cared for by staff, supported by loving friends.
