Carrie Mae (Jackson) Pulley

Carrie Mae (Jackson) Pulley – 44, Debert passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on June 7, 2016.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, she was the daughter of David and Carolyn (Patriquin) Jackson of Little Dyke.
Carrie had a passion and love for life. She demonstrated love and compassion to all and was very much a strong and determined person. Carrie’s love for animals was surpassed only by her love for family, friends and God. She had a passion for food and cooking for people as an expression of her love for them. Carrie was a graduate of NSCC, Truro as well as Futureworx. She went on to work as a CCA for VON, caring for others in their time of need. Carrie enjoyed travelling which brought her to many destinations including the Dominican Republic. Her profound faith in God had provided her with renewed hope and strength though out her life. Carrie invested in close friendships and was loved by all who knew and came in contact with her. A special thank you to cousins Erin, Melissa and Leslie as well as to her nearest and dearest friends, “prayer posse” members, Christine, Elaine, Kubas and Paula.
Besides her parents, Carrie leaves behind her loving husband, Weston; her children, Dave and Shania Putnam both of Glenholme; father in law, Weston Pulley Sr. as well as mother in law Christine Hinton. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Carrie was predeceased by her brother, Davey; paternal grandmother, Tina MacDonald; maternal grandparents, Carl and Miriam Patriquin; aunt, Marlys Patriquin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10 from 7-9pm with a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, June 11 at 2pm both in Faith Baptist Church, 38 Station Road, Great Village, with Pastors Steve Adams and Doug Campbell, officiating. Reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River. Family flowers only. Donations in Carrie’s memory may be made to the HOPE for Wildlife Society or Palliative Care (CEHHC). Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
