THORPE, PAMELA DOREEN
It is with great sadness that the family of Pamela Doreen Thorpe announces her death at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, ON, on June 7, 2016. Born in London, England on July 29, 1925, to the late Alfred and Lillian Germain and was wife to the late Walter H. Thorpe.

Pamela met Walter in London, England, during WWII when she served as a WREN helping to decode encrypted messages at Bletchley Park, England.

Pamela is survived by her son, Ian (Linda) of Cambridge, ON; as well as several grandchildren, great–grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, Pamela was predeceased by daughters, Diana and Eileen; and brothers, Eric, Roy and Tony.

There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 13, 2016, at 2:00 pm, with The Rev. Canon John Sharpe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in Pamela’s memory can be made to the Hospice Wellington in Guelph, ON.
