Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 9, 2016, Catherine 'Kitty' Penney of Carbonear, in her 100th year. Predeceased by: husband: William; infant children: Patsy and William; grandson: Glen. Leaving to mourn, seven daughters: Shirley (Vivian) Hiscock, Victoria, Betty King, Perry's Cove, Robyn Moloughney, Ottawa, Sandra (Harold) Noel, Perry's Cove, Isabelle (Doug) Sheppard, Harbour Grace, Jennifer Giroux, Brampton, ON, and Kate (Mel) Clarke, Victoria; five sons: Steve (Nora), Arizona, Mike (Jeanette), Victoria, Ken (Lynn), Mulmur, ON, Greg (Denise), Brampton, ON, and Jim (Mary Ellen), Fergusonville, ON; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church and Cemetery, Carbonear.
