ROURKE, EDWARD JOSEPH
1945–2016
Ed (Eddy) passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved him at Bobby's Hospice after fighting a battle with cancer.

Ed was a beautiful, compassionate and generous person who will forever be remembered by his laughter and smile. His joy was felt wherever he went but he was happiest when surrounded by his family, friends and those who loved him most. Ed made his living as a talented and hard working painter, however his passion was for fishing – anywhere and anytime he could. He will be sorely missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

The family would like to offer their heartfelt appreciation for the staff and volunteers at Bobby's Hospice for the comfort and compassion showed to Ed and his family during a very challenging time as well as those who comforted Ed and kept him in their thoughts.

At Ed's request, no service or memorial will be held.

The family asks that a donation of time or money be made to Bobby's Hospice in lieu of flowers.

You taught me to be kind and proved great people exist.
You were always here for us, and you'll be so dearly missed.
