It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Blanche Curtis announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her three sons Dana, Keith and Craig; one grandchild Julia; sisters Rose Kennedy (Peter) and Hilda Muggridge; sister-in-law Sybil Curtis; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband David Curtis (2010); parents Frederick and Mary Anne Pike; and brother-in-law Frederick Muggridge. The family wish to thank the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Smiles, the Canadian Cancer Society, or Oakland United Church. In keeping with Blanche's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Oakland United Church with Reverend Wendy Lowden officiating.
