Daryl Lingley

LINGLEY, DARYL WAYNE
Dartmouth - It is with great sadness that Daryl’s family announces his passing on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

Daryl was born to the late Sidney and Clara (Hawker) Lingley. He received his early education in New Brunswick and began his working career in Montreal, returning to the Maritimes to work with Texaco for a number of years, prior to becoming a business owner in the Saint John and Halifax areas. He was very involved in the NS Inventors Society for a number of years and took pride in what they were able to accomplish within the Society. For the last 30 years, he worked throughout the Maritimes as a Business Consultant in various fields, most notably in the fields of composting and soil ecology (Soil Foodweb Atlantic Inc.) He was passionate in his beliefs and lost no opportunity to advocate for them. But even more important to Daryl was his love for his family. He thoroughly enjoyed all family events and never missed an opportunity to visit and spend time with them and looked forward to their visits.

Daryl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Carol Anne, children, Mark, Welsford, NB, Neil (Laura), Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Lisa (Laurie) Whitney, Rowley, NB and Keith, Saint John, NB, step-children, Shawn Anderson, Yoho Lake, NB, Krista (Mark)Paquette, Dartmouth, NS. Colleen (Ray) Adekayode, Halifax NS, 16 grandchildren, sisters, Loretta (Jack) Hill, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, Valerie Windross, Winnipeg, Man and brother Karl (Anne) Lingley, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Donald and Jerrold Lingley.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.L.Mattatall Funeral Homes. Visitation will occur at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 320 Flying Cloud Drive, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, 6 to 9 pm from where the funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Dariusz Misiolek at 11 am Thursday, June 16, 2016 , Reception to follow. A private interment will follow at a later date.

No flowers by request. For those who wish, memorial remembrances may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of choice. Online condolences may be viewed or sent, by visiting, www.mattatallfuneralhome.com.

We wish to express our deep appreciation and thanks to the professional and compassionate care provided to Daryl by the EHS paramedics and the wonderful staff of the ICU, Dartmouth General Hospital.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will take place from 2 to 4 on July 9, 2016 at the home of his sister, Loretta Hill, 8 Garden Road, Grand Bay-Westfield, NB.
