Surrounded by her family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Jeanette Gauthier (nee Gauthier), passed on June 13, 2016, after a brief illness. She was 83 and was a life-long resident of North Rustico. Jeanette was dearly loved by her 15 children, Marlene Monahan, Rick, Pat (Judy), David (Nancy), Gail Gallant (Martin), Cathy Sullivan (Mike), Ginny Gallant (Terry), George (Shirley), Della Gallant (Steve), Barbara Gallant (Ian), Paul (Whitney), Trevor (Shelly), Michael (Joyce), Keith (Susan) and Stacey Holmes (Gary); special grandchildren, Jane Marie and Dawn Gallant; and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Noel Gauthier (Isabelle), Mary Doucette (Bennett), Rilly Gauthier, Vivian Smith (Joe), Stuart Gauthier (Maggie), Genny Gauthier-Gallant (Noel); numerous brothers and sisters-in-law; special friends, Shirley Dunfield and Donnie LeBlanc (Natalie); and many more dear friends. Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Edward Gauthier; her parents, Emile and Genevieve Gauthier, and her brother, Pat. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 6-9 p.m. The CWL will hold a Prayer Service prior to the visitation at 5:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
