Mercedes Coleman

The family of the late Mercedes Coleman extends our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who offered their comfort, care and love during Mom’s passing.

Thanks to all who made phone calls, sent flowers, sympathy or Mass cards, emails and posts or made donations to charities in Mom’s memory. Thanks also to everyone who brought gifts of food and to those who visited before during and after the wake and funeral. Your thoughtfulness was appreciated and will never be forgotten.

Thank you to Dr. Robert O’Driscoll, Mom’s family physician for your professionalism, dedication, care and guidance over her heath and well-being. Your time, house calls and telephone calls were truly appreciated. A special thank you to everyone who made it possible for Mom to live at home in her final years, including Sandy Quehe, Deanne Wareham, Pam Caines, Mabel Rice, Jennifer Meadus and Marjorie Deckert. Your care and support meant so much to Mom and to all of us.

Many thanks to the kind, caring and compassionate doctor, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital who made Mom’s final week peaceful and comfortable. Your professionalism and guidance through Mom’s tranquil passing will always be remembered. As a nurse herself, Mom would have been proud of the care provided by everyone.

Much appreciation is extended to Father Ed Terry for his time and spiritual guidance at home, in hospital and during the wake, funeral and inurnment. Thank you also to everyone who made Mom’s funeral Mass beautiful and memorable, especially the organist, Cindy Kawaja, members of the choir, the cantor, Andrea Hamilton. A final thank you to the staff of Fillatre’s Funeral Home for their professional service and guidance during a difficult time.
