LLOYD, HAROLD A.
1931 – 2016
Harold A. Lloyd, 85, of Moncton, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Sunny Brae, he was the son of the late Edwin and Carolyn (Wheaton) Lloyd.

He was formerly employed with Employment Insurance and was a member of the National Association of Federal Retirees. Harold was a faithful member of Highfield Baptist Church, where he participated in the Senior Choir, the Adult Brotherhood Sunday School Class, theYoung at Heart Seniors Group and also served as a Deacon and Teller.Harold was also involved in music, singing with his siblings as a family group, as well as in a quartet with his father and brothers. He was also a member of the Moncton Gospel Male Chorus. His greatest joys in life were music, travelling, gardening and family gatherings.

Harold will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty (Amos) Lloyd; brother, R. Ashley Lloyd (late Phyllis); sister, Dorothy Gaskin (John); several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Frederic and his wife, Jean; sisters, Joan, Ethel, Elinor and Lucy Blake (late John).

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Highfield Baptist Church, 290 St. George St., on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Robert Knowles and Rev. Greg Sparkes officiating. Reception in the Church Hall following the service. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

In Harold’s memory, donations to Highfield Baptist Church, the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or memorial of choice would be appreciated.
