HOLMES–LAUDER, ROBERT
The family of Robert E. Holmes–Lauder announce his peaceful passing which occurred on Thursday June 16, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Born 1923 in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late Robert and Nora (Brown) Lauder. He is survived by his children Joni Kane, Edwin, Monica (Sarah & Josh Herrell) and Michael (Carly) Holmes–Lauder; their mother Carole–Anne Holmes–Lauder; grandchildren Jarrett Kane, Anna Rivaud, Keaghan Wang and Alexcia & Brycen Herrell; sisters Colleen and Elizabeth; several nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers George, Frank and Jack.

Following cremation, visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) on Sunday June 19, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Monday June 20, 2016 at 12:10 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Romero House, L’Arche McKim House or to simply plant a tree in Robert’s memory.
