Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex. surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 20, 2016, Raymond Davis, age 83 years. Predeceased by his parents: Wallace and Bessie Davis; his step-mother, Janie Davis; parents-in-law: Kenneth and Ruth Rideout; sister-in-law, Gertrude Rideout. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife Irene (nee Rideout); dear son Rick (Jane) (British Columbia); loving daughter Raylene Newman (Derek); grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Maria Davis (Montreal), Timothy Davis (British Columbia), Evan Newman, Holly and Jacob Newman (St. John's); brother, Lester and Minnie Davis (Florida); sisters: Shirley Horne (Davis)(Florida), Lorraine Hollett (Harold)(Paradise); sisters-in-law: Janet Jerrett (George) (Brigus); Kena Lake (Wayne) (Brigus); brother-in-law, Percy Rideout (Dorothy) (St. John's); as well as a number of nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved and many dear friends whom he held dear to his heart. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, June 21 from 10am-12noon, 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and on Wednesday, June 22, from 10am-12noon. Funeral service will take place from Wesley United Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 2:00pm, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
