MacKINNON, DAVID “DICK” GEORGE ALEXANDER
The passing of David “Dick” George Alexander MacKinnon of Stanley, NB occurred on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 8, 1943 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Harvey) MacKinnon. Dick was a member of the Golden Age Club and was an avid card player. In his later years, he enjoyed many hours of working at the Upper Nashwaak Agrena and taking in the hockey games.

Dick is survived by his son, Shawn MacKinnon (Tara); daughters, Penny Hamilton and Patti Forster and their families; grandchildren, Claire and Lauren; sisters, Jean Hood (late Bill) and June Elliott (Fred); brothers, Douglas MacKinnon (Shirley), William MacKinnon (Bev) and Stanley “Chub” MacKinnon (Diane); sisters in law, Judy and Marion MacKinnon; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Pearl Green (late Willis), Shirley MacDonald (late Lloyd Kitchen) and Mavis Mazerall (late Maurice Mazerall); brothers, Wendell and Clifford.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church, Stanley, NB on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11am with Rev. Gordon Mowry officiating.
